Quote Follow-up
Quote follow-up texts that stop when the customer replies
Why quotes go quiet
Most quotes don't get a "no." They get silence. The customer meant to reply. Then the kids got sick, work got busy, or the estimate ended up under three other emails. A week later, they don't remember which company sent which number.
Following up fixes a lot of that. But following up by hand is easy to forget when you're on jobs all day. And it can feel pushy, so many owners don't do it at all. The result is estimates that would have turned into work, sitting in a folder.
Quote Follow-up does the remembering for you. It sends a few polite check-ins at set times, and gets out of the way the moment the customer engages.
How it works
- Log the quote. After you send an estimate, add it in Callwake: customer name, mobile number, the job in one line, the amount if you want, and the date you sent it.
- Confirm consent. Tick the box that the customer agreed to receive texts about this quote, and pick how they agreed: in person, on the phone, by text, through a web form or by email. No consent, no texts.
- Texts go out on day 2, 5 and 9. At the hour you choose, in your business's time zone. Each text starts with your business name and includes STOP instructions.
- It stops on reply. The moment the customer replies, the remaining texts are cancelled. Callwake can help them book a time or hand the conversation to you.
- You get an alert. By text and email, with what the customer wrote and a link to the conversation.
Northside Plumbing: Hi Sam, quick check-in on the water heater replacement estimate we sent. Any questions we can answer? Reply here anytime. Reply STOP to opt out.
Hi, yes. Can you do it next week?
Northside Plumbing: Happy to get that scheduled. We have Tue at 10:00 AM or Tue at 12:00 PM - which works for you?
After Sam's reply, the day 5 and day 9 texts were cancelled automatically, and the owner got an alert.
Your wording, your schedule
You write the three texts. We start you with simple defaults like "quick check-in on the estimate we sent" and you can change every word. You can use the customer's first name, the job and the amount. The settings page shows a live preview, so you see exactly what the customer gets.
You also choose the send hour, anywhere from 6 AM to 8 PM in your time zone. Need ideas? See our quote follow-up texts for each trade.

Frequently asked questions
Who gets the follow-up texts?
Only customers who asked for the quote and agreed to receive texts about it. You confirm their consent and how they gave it when you log the quote.
What happens when the customer replies?
The follow-ups stop right away. You get an alert with what they wrote, and Callwake can help them pick a time or hand off to you.
Can I change the wording?
Yes. You write the three texts in Settings. Each one must include your business name and STOP instructions.
Does it connect to my field-service software?
Not yet. Integrations with field-service tools are planned. For now, keep sending quotes the way you do today, then log each quote in Callwake in a few seconds.
